In commemoration of Labour Day, our theme for April focuses on the grit, passion, and daily hustle that keep our world moving. Our members stepped out into the field to document the beauty of labour, capturing powerful stories of dedication, craftsmanship, and hard work. From traditional artistry to heavy physical labour, these images beautifully highlight the human spirit behind everyday industries. Congratulations to Our Winner A massive congratulations to Chow YK! Chow’s winning photograph beautifully captures the delicate artistry of traditional umbrella painting. The contrast between the vivid, geometrically arranged umbrellas and the artisan focused on her craft creates a visually arresting narrative that perfectly embodies passion and lifelong dedication. Celebrating Our  Talented Participants  The competition was incredibly fierce, with each photographer bringing raw emotion and powerful storytelling to the frame. A huge thank you to our featured participants: Cho Liang Yong – For a magnificent, expansive shot capturing a herder guiding a massive flock of sheep up a rugged hillside, showcasing the timeless connection between nature and labour. Jon Liang – For a gritty, highly atmospheric portrait of a charcoal worker amidst rising smoke, brilliantly highlighting the intense, physical nature of the trade. Lin Meng Onn – For a dynamic, high-action frame capturing the synchronised hustle of workers delivering heavy gas cylinders, showcasing pure strength and teamwork. Md Aziman – For a wonderfully composed, warm perspective documenting the precise and meticulous process of traditional Gula Melaka (palm sugar) making. We are thrilled to share the incredible results of our recent photography collaboration between the Persatuan Fotografi Selangor dan Kuala Lumpur (PSPJ) and vivo! Participants were challenged to push the boundaries of mobile photography, capturing stunning, professional-grade portraits using only vivo mobile phones. Congratulations to Our Winner!  A massive congratulations to David Hogan Jr! David’s winning shot stood out for its masterful use of lighting, exceptional clarity, and gorgeous, ethereal atmosphere—perfectly highlighting how mobile photography can match the depth and mood of a professional studio setup.
