Objective

This annual photo contest is organized as another platform for our members to stay active and to gauge their picture taking standards in the many outings and themes that we have planned for the many months until January 2016.

Picture taking techniques with reasons and aesthetic (meaning) are critical in the judging criteria to be taken by our monthly panel of in house and invited guest judges. The best photographers will need to have a consistent and strong body of works (portfolio) to be submitted monthly to “wow” the panel of judges. Critiques are also given at each monthly meeting for the works submitted for this contest.

The committee members hope that not only our members will able to “compete” but to learn from each other in this photo awards and the process in the building blocks of taking pictures and realize the many possibilities of the medium of photography.
